We’re excited to announce the launch of our new Neuro Workshops! Our upcoming workshop includes three supportive sessions focused on: Anxiety Stress Management Managing the feeling of being constantly overwhelmed
These workshops will be facilitated by Mollie and Paula.
Meet Paula –
“My name is Paula. I bring my lived experience of stroke and managing a long-term health condition, alongside my professional background, to create a relaxed and supportive space where you can talk openly about what support is locally available and share tips to help self-manage your health and wellbeing. No teaching. No preaching. Just honest conversation where everyone’s experience matters.
These workshops use supported, aphasia-friendly approaches so you can take part in a way that feels right for you. I don’t believe healing is about having all the answers. I believe it’s about you feeling heard, supported, and a little less alone. Let’s move through it together”
Our aim is to create a safe, welcoming space where you can connect with others facing similar challenges, share experiences, and learn practical coping strategies and techniques to support you in everyday life.
Through my collaborative work with Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland, a clinical reflexologist within PN and a course facilitator, I’ve had the privilege of seeing first-hand the difference they make to people’s lives.
Whether I’ve been involved in workshops, reflexology or community events, one thing has always stood out to me is their commitment to bringing people together. They don’t try to do everything alone, they actively work alongside other organisations, professionals and people with lived experience to build connections, strengthen communities and help bridge the gaps that can exist after a neurological diagnosis. As a stroke survivor, who didn’t have a project Neuro, I’m incredibly thankful for the new and meaningful connections this has made to me years after my stroke.
There’s something really special about the welcoming environment they create. They make it easy for people to come together, build confidence, try new experiences and realise they’re not alone. Everyone is valued, listened to and encouraged to take part in a way that feels right for them. I’ve felt this both personally and professionally.
It’s a privilege to be part of a community that genuinely believes we’re stronger when we work together, and I’d encourage anyone affected by a neurological condition to come along and experience it for themselves
